The fabric is rooted in the Bogolan textile tradition of Mali, West Africa — bold mark-making in black and white that has always carried weight, always meant something. Wrapped by hand around a 40cm wooden disk in our London studio. A 20cm round mirror placed on top, ringed by a border of individually hand-placed cowrie shells. Hours of making create one piece that changes a wall completely.
No two mirrors are identical. The fabric placement shifts from piece to piece — same print, different composition. What arrives at your door is the only one exactly like it in the world.
